| Remmy Nweke |
Remmy Nweke is an internationally reputed award-winning media practitioner with specialty in the Information and Communication Technology for Development (ICT4D) spanning over 15 years. He is the immediate past Publicity Secretary, Nigeria Internet Group (NIG) and former chairman, International Affiliations Committee, NIG.
Aside being a journalism graduate from the Institute of Journalism and Management Education, Enugu, Enugu State, Remmy hold a Master of Arts degree from the University of Malta on Contemporary Diplomacy.
Currently the Group Executive Editor, DigitalSENSE News; publishers of ITRealms Online, NaijaAgroNet published by DigitalSENSE Africa Media group based in Lagos, Nigeria.
Until recently Remmy was ICT Editor, Champion Newspapers Limited; a national daily in Nigeria.
Also a pioneer editorial board member of Highway Africa News Agency (HANA) and Reporting Development Network Africa (rDNA) projects respectively, based at the Rhodes University Grahamstown, South Africa, Remmy is an alumni of the German-based Inwent's International Institute for Journalism (IIJ) in Berlin; DiploFoundation Geneva-Malta-Belgrade. Remmy has attended various training on media and development as well as on ICT4D, both locally and internationally.
Presently Remmy is the Secretary, Steering Committee, ECOWAS Network of Science Journalists and Vice President, Joint Action Committee on ICT Awareness and Development (JACITAD), whereas serving in the Executive Board of the Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NIRA) as chairman, Communication and Publicity since August 2010.
